Today I have the honor of introducing you to Bling47′s sister label, DIRT TECH RECK. We’ve been developing this label since my last project almost three years ago. DIRT TECK will be a sanctuary of more progressive concepts from several others and myself. That said, the concept of this project is pure FILTH!
“Make it Boom” is the A-side of the first 12-inch to be released in September on limited double sided picture vinyl and an excerpt from the full length “FILTH” to be released later this year. No doubt that this track is an ode to the ASS, however it also stems from my time in NY where the status quo for Brooklyn is currently ‘Heroin Chic‘ – bullshit, I say! I wasn’t raised in a place where this standard of beauty holds true. My mother and sisters don’t look like that. Besides, I’ve spent a significant amount of time with intelligent, successful and confident women who are challenged by these body images all over magazines and TV. I love it all but today we celebrate the stretch mark! Today, we balance the equation with some thickness.
